Seaboard Foods announces new president

Chad Groves has held several leadership positions in the industry.

Seaboard Foods has announced the appointment of Chad Groves as its new president and chief executive officer (CEO), effective July 1. Groves succeeds Peter Brown, who is retiring from the position.

In his new role, Groves emphasized his commitment to maintaining excellence and innovating within Seaboard Foods' connected food system. "We will be unwavering in our commitment to meeting customer expectations, delivering quality products, and providing exceptional customer service, making our Prairie Fresh brand and the Daily’s brand the top choice for customers and consumers around the world," said Groves.

Groves' Background and Experience

Groves joined Seaboard Foods in July 2021 as the senior vice president of global sales, marketing and innovation. In this role, he led efforts in retail, food service, export and processor sales, as well as the marketing, innovation, communications and sustainability team.

Prior to his tenure at Seaboard Foods, Groves held several leadership positions at Trilliant Food & Nutrition and High Liner Foods. He holds a bachelor of science in selling and sales management from Purdue University and a master’s degree in business management from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Additionally, Groves has served as a board member and treasurer for the National Pork Board.

Groves’ extensive experience and leadership skills position him well to drive Seaboard Foods forward, building on the strong foundation laid by his predecessor.
