The Midwest Poultry Federation (MPF) proudly announces its receipt of the “Excellence in Meetings, Events & Conventions Award” from Meet Minneapolis. This award, given annually, recognizes individuals, institutions or organizations whose efforts significantly impact the city of Minneapolis for future years.
MPF has been hosting its convention and trade show, rebranded as PEAK in 2023, in Minneapolis since 2018. This year, the event in April welcomed over 3,100 attendees and exhibitors. The Federation has committed to continue hosting its annual trade show at the Minneapolis Convention Center through 2030.
Melvin Tennant, President and CEO of Meet Minneapolis, highlighted the growing attendance and the strong partnership between MPF and the city in his award announcement letter: “Each year attendance continues to grow. [MPF’s] commitment to meet in Minneapolis for years to come is a testament to the trusting partnership that has been built between Midwest Poultry Federation and all of the various partners that benefit from their business, including but not limited to the convention center, hotels, restaurants, and much more.”
MPF President Lisa Henning, representing the North Central Poultry Association on the board of directors, emphasized the importance of partnerships: “PEAK’s success is due to many factors and the partnerships our organization has with Meet Minneapolis, the hotels, and our management team at Empowered Events LLC lead the way toward our current successes. We are excited about what the future holds for PEAK and we look forward to working with Meet Minneapolis for many years to come!”
The award was presented to MPF during a reception at National Travel and Tourism Week.
