The USPOULTRY Foundation has granted $3,500 to the University of Tennessee in Knoxville for student recruitment efforts. The funds will bolster the university's poultry program, focusing on engaging youth through events like the Institute of Agriculture Ag Day, high school outreach and connecting undergraduates with industry experts.
Graduate students will benefit from opportunities to collaborate with poultry industry professionals and present research findings at the International Poultry Scientific Forum at IPPE. In total, the USPOULTRY Foundation awarded $297,580 in student recruiting grants to 26 colleges and universities across the U.S. with poultry science or industry-related degree programs. These grants support the foundation's mission to attract students to poultry programs nationwide.
