USPOULTRY promotes poultry industry careers

Twenty students and advisors from seven Latin American universities attended the event.

The USPOULTRY Foundation demonstrated its commitment to fostering global talent in the poultry and egg industries by inviting 20 students and advisors from seven Latin American universities to attend the 2024 International Poultry Expo (IPE), part of the International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE).

The students participated in the USPOULTRY Foundation International Student Program, gaining valuable insights through interactions with globally-operating companies. They explored the IPPE trade show, featuring cutting-edge advancements in sustainable poultry technology, and attended the Latin American Poultry Summit, co-sponsored by IPE and the Asociación Latinoamericana de Avicultura (ALA), where they were honored during the Summit luncheon.

Dania Ferrera, executive director of ALA, expressed gratitude for the enriching experience and invaluable resources provided by the USPOULTRY Foundation, emphasizing the significance of the program in expanding knowledge and skills among Latin American students.

Jarod Morrison, Farbest Foods and USPOULTRY Foundation chair, highlighted the program's role in attracting talent to the poultry and egg industries, providing companies at IPPE with opportunities to connect with international students who may become future leaders in various countries.
