McKinley Hatchery selects Royal Pas Reform for major expansion

The company is adding 11,000 sq. ft. to its St. Mary’s, Ontario facility.

McKinley Hatchery has announced an 11,000 sq. ft. expansion of its St. Mary’s, Ontario facility, boosting annual production to over 12 million day-old leghorn chicks. The project includes installing 5 SmartSetPro 6 setters and 12 SmartHatchPro hatchers from Royal Pas Reform, set to complete by November 2024.

Modernization and Growth

General Manager Drew Corneil highlighted the timing of this largest-ever investment as the hatchery celebrates 90 years in operation and 45 years under his family's management. The expansion will further enhance its productivity and market reach.

Partnership with Sollio Agriculture

Collaborating with Sollio Agriculture, McKinley already leads as Canada’s largest leghorn chick distributor, handling over 7 million chicks annually. This expansion is part of a phased project since 2020 to increase capacity from 7.5 million to 12 million chicks per year.
