Alltech continues partnership with Women in Food & Agriculture program

Applications are now being accepted for the 2024 cycle.

Alltech proudly announces its continued collaboration with the Women in Food & Agriculture (WFA) Mentorship Program, now accepting applications for the 2024 cycle. Open to mentors of any gender and female mentees globally, the fourth-year program offers free mentorship to empower women in the food and agriculture sector. Findings from WFA's survey highlight the crucial role mentorship plays in women's success in the agri-food industry.

WFA's Mentorship Program, facilitated by Alltech, matches mentors and mentees based on preferences such as gender, expertise, language and industry sector. The program has received significant engagement, with over 3,051 mentee applications and 1,691 mentor volunteers, resulting in 562 successful pairings.

Dr. Mark Lyons, Alltech's CEO, emphasizes the program's significance, calling it an investment in the lives of women and the future of agriculture. Elisabeth Mork-Eidem, WFA global chair, expresses confidence in the program's positive impact, fostering diversity with Alltech's continued support.

Orla McAleer, Alltech's chief culture officer, reaffirms the company's commitment, stating, "We believe in championing the advancement of women in this vital sector." Alltech views inclusion as essential, aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal of Gender Equality.
