Dindings Tyson investing in hatchery tech

The company is enhancing its Malaysian hatchery and poultry development center.

Leading Malaysian poultry integrator, Dindings Tyson, is set to enhance its hatchery and poultry development center in Lumut, Perak Darul Ridzuan, with a significant investment in SmartPro hatchery technology. This expansion comes four years after the successful installation of Royal Pas Reform’s cutting-edge, single-stage incubation technologies.

In this phase-two development, Dindings Tyson is incorporating six SmartSetPro setters and six SmartHatchPro hatchers, boosting capacity to 115,200 and 19,200 hen eggs, respectively. The installation, featuring Adaptive Metabolic Feedback (AMF) for precise incubation environments, Energy Saving Modules (ESM) for reduced energy consumption, and other advanced features, is scheduled for January 2024.

Prioritizing biosecurity and hygiene, Dindings Tyson adopts industry-leading technology to meet the stringent requirements for HALAL certification. Royal Pas Reform’s equipment is specifically designed to ensure the highest standards of hygiene in modern hatcheries, with features such as compartmentalized sensors, modular hatchers to prevent cross-contamination and Microban antibacterial protection.

Founded in 1985, Dindings Tyson is a comprehensive poultry integration company, operating under Malayan Flour Mills Bhd (MFM). With a focus on feed mills, hatcheries, breeder farms, broiler farms and poultry processing plants, it is a leader in the Malaysian poultry industry, producing food exclusively in Malaysia under the brand name Ayam Dindings.

Dinding’s Senior Farm Manager, Danang Antariksa Wardani, expressed confidence in the expansion, stating, “Working with Royal Pas Reform again was a natural choice for us, given the excellent performance of the initial installation over the past four years.”

Bas Kanters, Royal Pas Reform’s sales director for Asia, commented on the expansion project, saying, “Dindings Tyson's ambitious growth plans are underpinned by the need for trusted, market-leading advanced hatchery technologies. Royal Pas Reform is proud to support this exacting project and contribute to the success of Dindings Tyson's markets in Malaysia and beyond.”
