Moy Park celebrates a significant milestone by successfully reducing its overall packaging by 10% in the last year. This achievement aligns with Moy Park's comprehensive sustainable packaging strategy, focusing on the principles of Remove, Reduce, Recycle, and Research. The strategy aims to achieve a 5% yearly reduction in overall packaging, while simultaneously increasing the proportion of recyclable packaging by 5%.

Collaborating with supply chain partners and implementing innovative measures throughout the business, Moy Park has effectively eliminated unnecessary plastic components, reduced remaining plastic, developed recyclable alternatives and incorporated plastics with recycled content.

Matt Harris, head of packaging at Moy Park, emphasized the importance of sustainable packaging in its journey towards achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2040. Harris stated, "Our ambition is to make even more progress, and we're actively collaborating across departments and with external experts to enhance our packaging strategy. This will adhere to best practice guidance, future legislation, and consumer insights. Exciting partner collaborations are in the pipeline, aiming to further reduce plastic reliance and support recycling goals."
