USPOULTRY adding career fair at 2024 IPPE

The goal is to connect talent with industry leaders seeking scientific expertise.

The USPOULTRY & PSA Foundations proudly present a joint Ph.D. & Vet Student Career Fair during the International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE) from Jan. 30–Feb. 1, 2024, at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta. Hosted alongside the International Poultry Scientific Forum, this program caters to USPOULTRY member companies and technology-driven entities in genetics, health, pharmaceuticals and nutrition.

Targeting post-doctoral, early Ph.D. and vet students, the Career Fair in Room B309 from 8 - 11:30 a.m. on Jan. 30 aims to connect exceptional talent with industry leaders seeking scientific expertise. This initiative, aligning with the IPSF, centralizes opportunities for both students and companies.

Moreover, USPOULTRY offers the established College Student Career Program for B.S. and M.S. students, facilitating interviews with member companies for internships and entry-level positions in the poultry industry. The PSA focuses on academic career opportunities for graduate students through its Hatchery and Giesen Internship Program.

Mike Levengood, USPOULTRY Foundation chairman, expressed enthusiasm: "This is a valuable service for the poultry industry, especially in genetics, health, pharmaceuticals, and nutrition. We're excited to offer the Ph.D. & Vet Student Career Fair at IPPE 2024."

Companies participating in the fair receive a table and chairs, with the option to present company information. The sign-up deadline is Jan. 5, with no associated costs for either companies or students.
