Pilgrim’s Pride to move headquarters

The layoff of 160 employees at Pilgrim’s Pride headquarters and 70 administrative and corporate employees at 12 other locations is one of the latest steps in the restructuring of the company as part of JBS USA, the Dallas Business Journal reported.

Pilgrim’s Pride will be moving the bulk of its corporate functions from Pittsburg and Mount Pleasant, Texas, to JBS USA headquarters in Greenley, Colo., according to a company statement.

JBS recently became the majority shareholder of Pilgrim's Pride as part of a reorganization plan that allowed the poultry company to leave bankruptcy.
