USAPEEC headed for Gulfood 2017

The USA Poultry & Egg Export Council (USAPEEC) is again increasing its presence at the Gulfood show on Feb. 26-March 2 in Dubai.

The USA Poultry & Egg Export Council (USAPEEC) is again increasing its presence at the Gulfood show on Feb. 26-March 2 in Dubai. This year the association will have a two-level, 572-square-meter pavilion, and it will sponsor two culinary competition classes at Salon Culinaire.

With the bigger space, three additional USAPEEC member companies have reserved booths in the pavilion, bringing the total number of exhibitors to 15. USAPEEC’s members include some of the largest poultry producers in the U.S., along with trading companies and others dispersed throughout the show.

“Gulfood is one of the fastest-growing international food shows in the world, and our member companies recognize that it’s one of the can’t-miss shows each year,” said USAPEEC President Jim Sumner. “We are excited that we outgrew our exhibit space and can expand it again this year.”

The pavilion is funded in part by the Illinois Soybean Association and Indiana Soybean Alliance. Exhibitors will include AJC International, American Egg Board, Boston Agrex, Crider Foods, Evia Foods, Globex International, Grove Services, Interra International, Intervision Foods, Lamex Foods, Mirasco, Mountaire Farms, Perdue, PMI Foods, and Tyson Foods.

In addition, USAPEEC is sponsoring two Emirates Culinary Guild Salon Culinaire competitions—Arabian Feast and Chicken Practical Cookery—that will use U.S. turkey and chicken as the main ingredients. Aspiring chefs from around the region will create culinary delights to be judged by masters of the craft from the Emirates Culinary Guild and World Chefs Association.
