Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen is partnering with DoorDash to ensure that every football gathering, tailgate and watch party this fall is packed with flavor, fun and chicken wings. One person will even win the ultimate tailgating experience at their house.

"At Popeyes, we know the excitement of game day goes beyond the field – it's also about bringing people together to enjoy great food and great moments. And, as the Official Wing of Watching Football, we're committed to being a part of every fan's experience, no matter where they choose to watch," says Bart LaCount, chief marketing officer, Popeyes.

"By bringing our Wings to watch parties and tailgates across the country, we're not only serving up those bold, Louisiana flavors our fans know and love, but also making sure that Popeyes is at the heart of every football celebration."

The quick service restaurant (QSR) brand permanently added chicken wings to its menus in 2023. The wings are now available in a variety of flavors, including sweet ‘n smokey chipotle, honey bbq, roasted garlic parmesan, signature hot, ghost pepper, honey lemon pepper and sweet ‘n spicy.

Wing truck tour

A lucky few will even get a chicken wing tailgating experience delivered to their house as part of the Popeyes Wing Truck Tour. The Popeyes Wing Truck is fully equipped with everything needed for the ultimate football experience including games, photo moments, music and Popeyes wings and sides.

Truck tour takes on college football matchups

The Popeyes Wing Truck Tour will also be present at several of the biggest college football tailgates across the U.S.:

  • October 12 – Baton Rouge, LA
  • October 19 – Greensboro, NC (HBCU)
  • October 26 – Atlanta, Georgia (HBCU)
  • November 2 – Tallahassee, Florida (HBCU)
  • November 16 – Athens, GA
  • November 30 – Columbus, Ohio

I’m a little disappointed that they’re not going to the University of Arkansas, but maybe fans there area too busy with their Coach Calipari-inspired chicken nuggets from Tyson Foods.

Tailgating bundle

In addition, the new Tailgating Bundle promotion from Popeyes, which starts 10/5, features 24 chicken wings (bone-in or boneless) with up to four flavor selections, three regular sides and four dipping sauces at 25% off the regular price on Saturdays and Sundays.

To get the discount, all orders must be placed through DoorDash.

Chicken wings and football go together, so I’m sure these are opportunities no sports fans will pass up.
