Hubbard is pleased to announce that Roberto Yamawaki will assume leadership of the global technical customer support team, following a smooth transition with Dr. James Bentley. In his new role, Yamawaki will oversee an experienced team of technical, product and technology transfer managers, along with a specialized group of nutritionists, veterinarians and hatchery and broiler experts dedicated to customer success.
Roberto Yamawaki: A Visionary Leader in Poultry Industry
Yamawaki has built a distinguished career in the poultry industry, showcasing exceptional achievements early on. He is a veterinarian graduate from São Paulo State University (UNESP) in Brazil and holds a master’s degree in poultry pathology and immunology. His academic accomplishments also include:
- MBA in general management from Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV)
- Black Belt Lean Six Sigma certification with a focus on statistics
- Business Specialization from Harvard Business School
- Currently pursuing a PhD in poultry nutrition, meta-analysis and sustainability at the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR)
Yamawaki began his career at JBS-Seara in Brazil, where he held several key roles in broiler production and management. Joining Hubbard in 2018, Yamawaki served as technical services manager for South America, leading customer support, product performance analysis and marketing initiatives. His contributions have garnered global recognition, including being named one of the "30 Under 30" most promising professionals in the global poultry industry at the International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE) in Atlanta.
Yamawaki will report to Bruno Briand, global business director, and will relocate with his family to Hubbard’s headquarters in Quintin, France.

Dr. James Bentley, who has served as global technical director for the past five years, will continue to support Hubbard part-time during the transition. With over three decades of experience in poultry genetics, nutrition and management, Bentley has been instrumental in helping customers address challenges through practical, science-based solutions. His thoughtful approach, exceptional listening skills, and business acumen have left a lasting impact on Hubbard and its customers worldwide.
