Central Foods has partnered with global food company Tyson Foods’ U.K. division to increase Tyson’s distribution to the independent frozen food wholesalers in the U.K.

“The U.K. independent frozen foodservice wholesale sector is an important and growing market for Tyson Foods,” said Phil Eccleston, commercial director at Tyson Foods Europe. “Our partnership with Central Foods will allow us to further expand our business and geographical coverage in an innovative way.”

A selection of products via Central Foods such as Tyson’s Hot ‘N’ Kickin crispy chicken wings, chicken breast kebabs and skewers, coated chicken fillets and crispy inner chicken fillets will be distributed. The Tyson products, mainly chicken items, will complement Central Foods’ popular own-brand range of Golden Valley Foods poultry options.

“We are very pleased to be working with Tyson Foods to extend the company’s distribution network in the U.K.,” said Gordon Lauder, managing director of Central Foods.

Tyson Foods has a reputation for supplying great-tasting, best-quality food for every occasion, as well as very positive environmental and sustainability credentials, and we are delighted to be increasing distribution for their brand in the U.K.”

Tyson Foods is the world’s second largest poultry producer. It is also a major producer of turkey, beef and pork.

Central Foods, according to its website, supplies over 190 independent delivered wholesalers, as well as the larger national and regional wholesalers, and larger end-user caterers across the entire foodservice industry with as little as a single mixed pallet to multiple pallet drops, delivering over 75,000 cases each week.
