Jason’s Deli was presented a Seventh Annual “Turkey on the Menu” Award by the National Turkey Federation at the National Restaurant Association convention. The award honors the fast food chain for its wide variety of creative turkey sandwich and salad offerings while promoting health and the environment.
The chain installed solar panels to run its units, was one of the first chains to eliminate trans-fats from the menu and is currently promoting the removal of high fructose corn syrup.
“Jason’s Deli has launched itself as a chain leader that is devoted to bringing customers healthy fare without emptying their wallets,” said Sherrie Rosenblatt, NTF’s vice president of marketing and communications.
Other award winners included Port of Subs, winner of the casual/family style category, J. Alexander’s of the fine dining category and Aramark Corporation, winner of the non-commercial category.
