Dutch poultry hatchery holds open house
Layer breeder Institut de Sélection Animale held a two-day open house to celebrate the completion of its new layer parent stock hatchery in Boxmeer, the Netherlands. The hatchery displayed technology that allows day-old chicks to be hatched in an energy-efficient manner and in accordance with biosecurity standards.

Cobb holds week-long seminar in Holland
More than 50 delegates from 23 countries took part in a week-long technical seminar hosted by Cobb Europe, a poultry research company, in Friesland, northern Holland, for grandparent and parent stock customers from Europe, Middle East and Africa."The technical seminar provides the ideal platform to spend time with our customers as well as provide them with the knowledge required to ensure they get the best performance from our products," said Matthew Wilson, Cobb regional technical manager.

Russian egg producer expands hatchery
ZAO Okskaya PF, a Russian egg producer, has launched the first stage of its hatchery expansion in the Ryazan region. More than 85 percent of the high-quality Lohmann, LSL and H and N breed day-old chicks will be sold to partners in Russia, neighboring countries and to European consumers, with the remainder of the chicks being retained for Okskaya's own farms.

Ross Breeders Africa, an international poultry breeding company, is expanding its Zambian operations with SmartPro incubation technologies and air handling systems from Pas Reform, a hatchery technology provider. The project includes a new broiler hatchery, additional breeder houses, a new grandparent farm, staff housing and ancillary buildings.

New Cobb hatchery opens in Turkey
The first chicks have been hatched at a new facility that Cobb has opened in Turkey to supply increasing demand in the country and across the Middle East. Cobb has made a multi-million euro investment in purchasing and completely redeveloping the hatchery located in Bandirma, south west of Istanbul.

Nippon Chunky commissions Petersime for new hatchery
Nippon Chunky, Japan's Aviagen (Ross) Parent Stock distributor, has recently expanded its business with a brand new hatchery in Okayama Pref., Western Japan. The new hatchery was installed and commissioned in April.
