Aco Funki additions for the farrowing pen include a piglet creep nest of moulded plastic. Its lair section has rounded edges and few joints, to avoid damaging piglets and also to be easy to clean. A cast-iron grid for full-slat farrowing floors measures 60cm x 60cm, so provides a 2-piece solution whether previously 3 grid pieces were needed for the same area. The nursing sow can now eat from a feed trough made of high-hygiene synthetic material in which the rear edge is shaped so the bottom of the feeder can be inspected without entering the pen.
