Northern Pride names Hunter Miller CEO

His previous experience includes work for Peco Foods, Pilgrim’s Pride, Bilinski Sausage and Freshwater Farms.

Hunter Miller has been appointed as the chief executive officer of Northern Pride Inc.

Prior to joining the grower-owned turkey processing company, Miller held leadership positions at Peco Foods, Pilgrim’s Pride, Bilinski Sausage and Freshwater Farms.

A Mississippi College graduate, Miller earned degrees in finance and Spanish. Additionally, he completed advanced studies to attain a black belt six sigma certification from the American Society for Quality.

With more than 20 years of management experience in the protein processing industry, Miller brings comprehensive skills in production, quality assurance, logistics, supply chain, human resources, product development, sales, accounting, maintenance, and process improvement.

Northern Pride Inc. is a grower-owned turkey processing facility located in Thief River Falls, Minnesota. The cooperative was formed in 1989 by independent turkey growers throughout Northern Minnesota and North Dakota who had a passion for the industry. The current 19 turkey grower/owners purchased the processing plant from Land O’ Lakes.

Northern Pride produces high-quality turkeys for the large and small retailers, distributors, exporters, and foreign customers spread throughout the world.

According to the WATTPoultry.com Top Poultry Companies Database, Northern Pride is the 18th largest turkey producer in the United States, having slaughtered 45 million pounds of turkeys during the past year.
