North Carolina poultry service awards presented April 9

The North Carolina Poultry Serviceperson’s Service Awards were presented on April 9 during the annual North Carolina State University Prestage Poultry Science Department’s broiler supervisor short course. The event was held at the Moore County Ag Center in Carthage, N.C.

Helping to present the awards are N.C. Poultry Federation Executive Director Bob Ford, award recipients, and Dr. Mike Williams, Head of NCSU’s Prestage Department of Poultry Science.

The eight servicemen and women who received the award included: John Hamilton and Cory Jones, Mountaire Farms; Tommy Harris and Billy Rollings, Pilgrim’s, Sanford and Marshville, N.C.; Mike Ogburn, Perdue Farms, Rockingham, N.C.; and Derek Phillips and Kalyn Reed, Tyson Foods, Monroe, N.C.
